How it all came to be ...
“The Land That Made Me Me” is a funny song about times long ago and far away that some will recall. It is truly amazing how fast things have changed in just a few short years of existence.
Freedom stables was created out of an enduring and creative spirit by Christopher Mac Nutt. A family-oriented man, Chris loved his sister's
next door farm and decided to create the stables of his dreams.
Chris and his sister, Candace, have worked in collaboration to create this dream. It is still an ongoing 'labor of love' on both sides.
Candace is currently managing the property while residing next door.

We invite you to see how the creation evolves over time as you board your family's horses here. There are many wonderful things that will transpire over the coming years. Welcome to our family!
Boarding
Our monthly fees include maintaining the daily care of your horse, or horses, and may include things like daily feeding, turnout, stall cleaning and grooming. There are
experienced Vets and Farriers nearby that we can help facilitate appointments with.

We offer open pasture boarding with stall care for feeding, inclement weather and vet care. There are shade structures throughout.
Grooming
Grooming is an important part of horse care. Grooming a horse daily allows us to check on the horse's general health and well-being.
​
At a minimum, horses are generally groomed before being worked, and are usually groomed and cleaned up after a workout as well. This will be up to the owner.
